I have Ariadne's Thread, though I've only read bits and pieces of it. It seems like an interesting work, though of course I can't give much of an intelligent opinion on it until I've read the whole thing.

Anything whatsoever to do with history= absolute fail, mitigated by the fact that people didn't know when it was written that the "great prehistoric matriarchy" thing was a load of bunk. Still, anyone reading Dianic/Goddess Spirituality books should simply skip anything to do with history and consult a more scholarly source.

The rest of the book, though? Fantastic. It, along with Diane Stein's "Casting the Circle", is one of the most dogeared books in my collection.

Aside from the historical inaccuracies its a great book. Its great to use in a study group setting.
